Trumpeter Greg Glassman is a lyrical jazz musician with an ear for combining pretty melody and progressive harmonic forms. Starting his career at 17, Glassman attended the Oberlin College of Music during which time he began performing in the Cleveland and Detroit areas with various ensembles. This led to contact with such legendary artists as Detroit trumpeter Marcus Belgrave and saxophonist Donald Walden. Glassman moved to New York City in 1998, eventually earning his M.A. in Jazz Performance from Queens College in 2000.
