Johnny Depp's girlfriend Vanessa Paradis is bemused by suggestions she's "tamed" the Hollywood star, insisting the balance in their relationship came about "naturally."

The couple has been together for 10 years and has two children together - but the French singer/actress is adamant she didn't set out to calm the wild ways of Depp's youth.

She tells Britain's Elle magazine, "Tamed. What's that? Like a lion? Nooo, no, we did it to each other.

"Maybe I'm a good girlfriend because I'm his girlfriend. I'm not sure I'd be a good girlfriend to anyone else; the same for him. It's difficult to explain, but it's something that's natural, obvious and beautiful."

And although rumors of a wedding surfaced earlier this year, Paradis insists they are untrue - because she and Depp are already so dedicated to one another and their family.

She tells the magazine, "Each summer people say we're supposed to be getting married, but we don't talk about it that much. He's got me and he knows he's got me."

But Paradis, 35, hasn't completely ruled out exchanging nuptials.

She adds, "I love the romance of 'let's get married,' but then, when you have it so perfect... I mean, I'm more married than anybody can be - we have two kids. Maybe one day, but it's something I can really do without."

Depp had previously dated supermodel Kate Moss and actress Winona Ryder.
